Northern Tanzania 9 days

Day 1, 2 & 3 Tarangire Nationalpark
You will be met at Kilimanjaro airport or collected at your hotel i Arusha. It is only a 2 hour drive to Tarangire. The area is famous for the large baobab trees and the swamps of the southern park. We recommend either Olivers Camp or Nomad Tarangire Camp. They are both located in the south of Tarangire. Game drives are the primary activity and the occassional walk.

Day 4 & 5 Ngorongoro Crater
It is about a 3 hour drive to the volcanic craters in the Ngorongoro highlands. Crater Lodge offers the finest accommodation in Africa and will be you home for the next 2 days. Following morning we set off early to explore the wildlife of the crater. We return for lunch on the rim and enjoy the afternoon and sunset from the lodge.

Day 6, 7 & 8 Serengeti
We continue by road to the Serengeti. It is a short drive to magnificent plains, but it will take anything from 3-7 hours to get to the camp. Serengeti is huge and exactly where you will be going very much depends on the time of the year that you are travelling. We will choose a location in the area of the wilderbeest migration. Mobile camps are by far our preferred in the Serengeti. This enables us to get close to the migrating wilderbeest and zebras. From June to December you can also choose to stay at the Migration Camp in the northern Serengeti.

Day 9
You return to Arusha by air and this is where the safari terminates. You can choose to travel to Zanzibar or other beach destinations. If you wish to explore remote areas of Africa we recommend the Mahale Mountains and Katavi Nationalpark.

Should you wish to extend this safari with a couple of days we recommend that you do this in the Serengeti. Choose a second location either central or in the Western Corridor. We will suggest the right thing once we know your time of travel.
